He is one of six Board Certified Medical Toxicologists in South Carolina. He sees patients from throughout the region to evaluate and treat toxin-mediated illnesses.
In 2003, he was nominated to the physician review panel for the US Department of Energy and Department of Labor’s review of cases of potential toxin-related illness. This panel deals with reviewing and certifying cases of former nuclear weapons plant employees with potential toxin-aggravated disease. He has reviewed over 100 files for potential occupational contribution to malignancy and over 100 files for potential occupational contribution to respiratory disorders.
